Three Easy Fixes for Morning Chaos

Whether you have kids or not mornings can be tough.

If you do have kiddos, more often than not, chaos ensues, and you find yourself struggling to get out the door on time with your entourage of tiny humans.

By the time you get in the car and on your way, there is no "good" to be found in anyone's mood.

If any of this sounds familiar, I can completely relate. No one wants to start their day with frustration and chaos.

So, what is a mamma to do? Here are three simple things you can implement into your nightly routine to help make your mornings run a bit smoother and become more enjoyable.

#1 Have your cloths picked out

Having your clothes ready to go in the morning helps a lot! You can take the time you need in the evening to try on and discard the clothes that you don't want to wear and make sure you have the perfect outfit picked out.

You may find it beneficial to have a "morning clothes basket" for your things. You can put everything from shoes, and undergarments, to coordinating bags/purses in it so everything is in one place and ready to go. It will save you time and headaches in the morning.

The same goes for the kiddos. If they are old enough to pick out their clothes start implementing a "morning clothes basket" for them as well. Not only will it give them a sense of autonomy over what they wear, but it will start teaching organization as well.

You can make a "morning clothes basket" for your littles as well. Include an outfit, socks, shoes, and any accessories (hat, barrette, etc.) you may want to use. It will be one less thing for you to have to decide on in the morning.

#2 Bags Are Packed & By the Door

After homework is done have your kids automatically pack their backpacks and have them by the door so they are ready to go in the morning.

The same goes for you Mom. Make sure your diaper bag or purse is stocked with what you need and is ready to go.

There is nothing worse than having to run around the house gathering up essentials for a diaper bag or your purse as your family waits by the door with exasperated looks on their faces as if they have never made you late before (Insert eye roll).

#3 Lunches Prepped

Not having to frantically throw together everyone's lunch while simultaneously making breakfast is a game changer. Do as much prep work as you can the night before.

Have the lunch boxes/bags set out on the counter with any nonperishables already in them. That way all you have to do is grab the already prepped food from the fridge, put it in the appropriate lunch box and you're set to go!

Or, if you truly want a grab-and-go situation, you can take it one step further, and just have everything already packed in the lunch bag in the fridge. And just like that, voila! Morning lunch prep headache eliminated!

I hope that these three easy organizational tips help you out Dear Reader and that you find your mornings less hectic and much more enjoyable!

Make sure to comment and let me know what you think!

(PS: Make sure your hubby has his stuff ready to go for the morning also!)
