August 9th is National Book Lovers Day, so where are my book lovers? Books were always a big part of my life. Going to the library or bookstore was and still is, one of my favorite things to do. I love the smell and feel of the pages. The endless rows of books to explore and the knowledge and magic you can find in those pages.
When I became a mamma, I found my reading time dwindle too absolutely nothing. In the midst of chaos, confusion and panic of first-time motherhood, I felt like I was never going to enjoy a book again.
Fast forward about a year and all of a sudden, I had an epiphany. Audio books. I'm not sure why it took me so long to realize that listing to audio books was an option, but there you go. I think I will blame it on "mom brain".
I made a beeline to the local library and got myself a membership card, downloaded "Libby, the Library App", and my audio book journey started. I have been able to explore so many books and have enjoyed new writers and genres.
In honor of National Book Lovers Day, I have put together a list of my top 15 books, my favorite authors and the current best seller list.
